| Did you know that WH Smith book sellers and newsagents was started by Henry Walton Smith and his wife Anna back in 1792 in London as a news vendor. Their sons William Henry Smith and Henry Edward Smith took the business and William Henry proved to be the better businessman and took the firm over.
