| Alderly Edge.
In the tree covered hills above Alderly. Lie caves as old as time. Some known and some long forgotten. Now covered and hidden with vine.
Secrets these caves long withheld. From the gaze of inquisitive eye. The wise would know not to look for. The foolish for reasons know why.
These hills and caves made of legend. With folklore generations passed down. Truth that's now cloaked over with fiction. On secrets they sit like a gown.
These caves running down different courses. But all leading down to one source. To a chamber and the saviour of England. In the darkness where he sleeps on his horse.
Arthurian knights side by side him sit sleeping. A wizards spell on them all in this cave keeping. Until England in peril re-awaking. To fight for honour and glory the taking.
From these caves they ride out spectral sight. Capes flying high above armour in the night. Horses breath steams from nostrils as they flare. Shields high to protect with swords slashing the air.
Then once more they return riding into the cave. A procession of valour for their lives they gave. The King and his knights surrender to sleep. The wizards spell evermore in this cave to keep.
The sun rises to the east and greets the day. Arthur clutches Excalibur and sleeps away.

| Matty. You should stop and go over to the Edge it's a fantastic view. There are loads of caves, as kids we all used to go caving there. I went down one the other month on a scout trip with my lad. The caving club look after it and do special trips down each year. When I went down with Nathan it was exactly 40 years to the day when I went down with my Dad. At the bottom there is a lake and I was telling the guide how me and my Dad went out on the lake in a dinghe 40 years before and it had a slow puncture. When water started coming in the guide was rowing like mad cause my Dad couldn't swim. The guide showed me the dinghe deflated on the rocks, still there after all those years. They still don't know how deep the lake is. Happy days eh. Love to all Daz xxx _________________ My family are like stars in the night sky of my life. Always there at the end of the day.
